David Muir, an American journalist who anchors the ABC News magazine 20, is best known as the co-anchor for World News Tonight With David Muir. With animated animations and dramatic videos of celebrity news, the show has grown to become the most watched newscast in America. Also, he is known for his Emmy-nominated series Made In America. Before he took over ABC World News Tonight he was the main substitute anchor for the anchor who was his predecessor Diane Sawyer. He's reported on a variety of primetime specials for ABC News some recent ones including Breaking Point: Heroin in America as well as Flashpoint: Refugees in America. He has travelled around across the globe covering stories that concern Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti and the Gulf of Mexico. His awards include multiple Edward R. Murrow Awards in addition to honors by the Associated Press.
