Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress and singer. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway role, she was in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. She received her Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Play to play Essie Carmichael from You Can't Take It With You. Tony Award-winning actress Annaleigh Ashford spent the majority of her time working with some of the most acclaimed actors and directors across theatre and on television. she continues that award-winning work with several upcoming projects. Ashford can be seen next starring alongside Kumail Nanjiani in Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It will premiere on 22nd November. Ashford is currently in the making for Searchlight Pictures' terror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson. The film is an Hulu Original, the film will be available on Disney DTC's platform. The film will premiere in March 2023. Ashford will return to Broadway and will be starring alongside Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The production is directed by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team that brought you Hamilton. Ashford appeared as Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, based off the scandal that included Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp during the national crisis. She was the star of two seasons on CBS comedy B Positive. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. Also, it included Ben Vereen as well as Hector Elizondo. Additional Broadway roles for Ashford are Sunday in the Park, as George Wicked legally Blonde, and the role of Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this role, she earned the Tony Award nomination. Ashford was born and raised in Denver and now divides her time between Los Angeles, and New York.
